Christmas concert

Winona Christmas
Winona Christmas in the Country, a fundraiser for the benefit of the Winona Area Historical Society, will be held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 2 in the museum on the society's grounds at the corner of Winona Road and Cameron Street, Winona. Unique handcrafted items, donated by local artisans and crafters, will be sold. These include reasonably priced specialty baked goods, ornaments, wreaths, wooden treasures, old-time toys, ceramic trees and much, much more. A wide variety of horseshoe creations will be featured. The popular Trash and Treasures area is back again this year. The building is handicap accessible.
MCCTC open house
The Mahoning County Career and Technical Center and Valley STEM Academy will host an open house from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 21. Parents of students interested in attending MCCTC or Valley STEM are invited to visit and learn more about the opportunities at the school as well as see first hand how career tech has changed. During the event, parents and students will have an opportunity to see the career and tech labs, meet with instructors and current students and even apply for next year.
Meatloaf sale
Salem Methodist Church will hold a meatloaf sale. The deadline to order is Dec. 4 by calling 330-337-9531. Cost is $8 for a 1-pound meatloaf or hamloaf. Pick up is Dec. 9.
Canceled Movie Nites
The Thursday Movie Nites at the East Liverpool Community Center have been canceled for the rest of November due to illness of the director.

Banquet in Salem
The Salem Community Foundation will sponsor the dine in or drive thru Banquet in Salem from 5 p.m. until the food is gone Nov. 20 at the Salem Memorial Building. The menu will include pork chop, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, salad, fresh vegetables, fresh fruit and cookies. Dine in will park in designated area and proceed to front door. EP Amateur Radio Club
The East Palestine Amateur Radio Club will hold its Christmas party at 6 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Sportsmans Club with a potluck dinner followed by a short meeting. Nominations for officers for 2024 will be held.
During the November meeting, ideas for projects in 2024 were kit bashing, POTA (Parks on the Air) and having members upgrade to Extra Class by the end of 2024 if not already an Extra Class.
Photos with Santa
The Lisbon Fire Department will host free Photos with Santa at the fire station on Jefferson Street from 4 to 6 p.m. Dec. 10, with cookies and hot chocolate served. Fire Chief Mark Hall said families will walk out with a free 4-inch by 6-inch photo printed on site. He announced the annual event during the village council meeting Tuesday night. Residents are also invited to bring an unwrapped new toy to donate for this year's Under Wraps program.
