HOMEWORTH - The 5th Annual Homeworth Community Chili Social will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Middle Sandy Presbyterian Church Pavilion, 4306 Homeworth Road. Proceeds from the event will go toward the Christmas Drive Thru scheduled for Dec. 22.

A donation only will be collected for the "Delicious Signature Chili," hot dogs, cornbread and desserts. Sit down seating is available for eating with friends and neighbors. Drive thru is also available.

This year proceeds will go toward making the Homeworth Community Group's Christmas Drive Thru another successful event. Volunteers are proud of their past projects such as a new roof on the Historical Society, made possible thru their past "Raise The Roof" fundraiser and last year's "Chilifest for a New Recess" to help with the new playground at Middle Sandy Church in Homeworth.

The Middle Sandy Historical Society will be open from 4 to 7 p.m. and is located in the village on Homeworth Road. The museum is filled with local family memorabilia and is well presented in the old church building. Long-time village residents will be on-hand to answer questions and share their own stories.

Kerry Varble will provide violin music.

There will also be forms available to purchase Memory Bricks for the new Homeworth Memorial located in downtown Homeworth.
