Boil advisory
There is a boil advisory for the following locations: West Point, state Route 518, state Route 45 from state Route 518 to the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center, Buckeye Road and anyone else that experienced no water pressure in the area. This is due to a water main break.
CCVSC closure
The Columbiana County Veterans Service Commission will be closed Monday.
Road closure
Campbell Road between U.S. Route 30 and Mardis Road in Hanoverton will be closed for five days beginning Monday for road boring for a sanitary sewer. The contractor is United Earthworks of Deerfield, Ohio. There will be no through traffic.
Winona dinner
Winona Methodist Church, 32114 Winona Road, will host its "Cook's Night Off" drive-thru dinner from 4 to 6 p.m., or until sold out, Nov. 1. This month's menu will be swiss steak, buttered parsley potatoes, green beans, a dinner roll and pumpkin dessert for $12. Dinners can be pre-ordered anytime before noon that day by calling the church office at 330-222-1211. Pre-ordered dinners must be picked up by 6 p.m.
Zombie crawl
The Lisbon Are Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Zombie Crawl & Trunk or Treat event from 2 to 5 p.m. Oct. 28 in downtown Lisbon in the courthouse parking lot. The event will feature a special guest appearance by Wednesday Addams, a flash mob, face painting and food trucks.
