EP Eagles drive thru dinner
East Palestine Eagles will hold its drive thru sirloin tip and noodle dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday. Dinner includes sirloin tip and noodles, coleslaw, roll and dessert for $11 or $10 if over 65 years. Call 330-853-8483 or 330-886-0397 to reserve a meal.
Highlandtown Church dedication
To commemorate its recent disaffiliation from the United Methodist Church conference, the Highlandtown Church, 18582 Steubenville Pike Road, Hammondsville, will hold a dedication service during the regular morning worship at 9 a.m. Sunday. Members of the former United Methodist denomination who wish to continue membership will have their membership renewed. Anyone wishing to become a new member that day should contact Pastor Linda Baker at 330-205-6690. The service will be followed by a dinner at the Inverness Hall at noon. Meat, potatoes, green beans and rolls will be provided.
Pine Grove Church Craft Show
The Pine Grove Church Annual Craft Show will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 4 at the Saline Township Complex in Hammondsville. The craft show include a variety of crafts, baked goods, food, raffle and photos with Santa for children.
Thursday Banquet in Salem
Cub Scout Pack 116 in conjunction with Greenford Ruritans will sponsor the dine in or drive thru 4th Thursday Banquet in Salem from 5 p.m. until the food is gone Thursday at the Salem Memorial Building. The meal will include macaroni and cheese, peas, applesauce, fresh vegetables, fresh fruit and pudding. Dine in will park in designated area and proceed to the front door. MC rabies vaccination clinic
Mahoning County Public Health will be sponsoring a rabies vaccination clinic for dogs, cats and ferrets from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Nov. 1 at the Mahoning County Public Health office, 50 Westchester Drive, Austintown. In Mahoning County, rabies vaccination is required for all dogs, cats and ferrets over 3 months of age. Cost is $8 per rabies shot (cash only). Pet owners must have their pets on a leash, in a cage or carried inside a pillowcase. This is a low-cost clinic that does not include a physical examination of the animal. The veterinary staff reserves the right not to vaccinate any animal in the event the animal appears to be in poor health. To receive the three-year booster, bring proof of prior rabies vaccination on or after Nov. 1, 2022. Without proof of prior vaccination, the pet will receive a one-year vaccination only. No appointment is necessary for rabies vaccinations.
EP Garden Club Home Tours
The Town and Country Garden Club of East Palestine will host its 2023 Home Tours, "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year!" from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Nov. 10 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 11. Tickets cost $12 each and can be purchased in advance at Runnion's Originals (until Oct. 28), T&M Hardware, Fuller's Hardware, Flower's Straight From the Heart, 1820 House, Bea's Insurance and Pewter Peddler (Columbiana). They can also be purchased at any of the homes on the days of the tour. There will be other events held by the Friends of the Library, East Palestine Log Cabin, Unity Grange (soup and sandwich luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.) and a tree display at Bea's Insurance.
