FRANKLIN SQUARE -- A crash in Salem Township sent two to the hospital Wednesday afternoon, according to the highway patrol.
A vehicle driven west on state Route 558 by Michael Tice Jr., 39, Wellsville, failed to yield at the intersection of state Route 558 and state Route 45, striking a vehicle driven north on state Route 45 by Roy Larkins, 56, Lisbon, causing both vehicles to strike a guardrail and nearby trees at 2:44 p.m. Wednesday.
Larkins and Tice were both transported to Saint Elizabeth's Hospital in Youngstown for their injuries.
Tice was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash, while Larkins was not and received serious injuries.
Tice will be found at fault for the crash.
The highway patrol reminded everyone "to always buckle up, every trip, every time."
