BELOIT -- West Branch Middle School will have a pair of new faces in administrative positions this school year.
The West Branch school board at its July meeting approved contracts for Fritz Schlueter as principal and Matt Manley as assistant principal for three years and one year, respectively. Schlueter will have an annual salary of $93,500 and Manley will have an annual salary of $75,000.
Superintendent Micki Egli said Manley and Schlueter were both "very seasoned administrators" with years of experience.
Egli said that Schlueter has served in an administrative capacity with the district for five years and previously served in an administrative capacity at the Alliance City School District and Saint Thomas Aquinas high school and middle school as an administrator.
Manley previously served as superintendent for the Crestview School District before retiring from the position. Egli said that prior to his time at Crestview Manley had been an administrator at West Branch "for many years" before leaving for the superintendency.
