EAST PALESTINE — Police officers confiscated money and drug-related items following a Wednesday traffic stop on a vehicle leaving a North Sumner Street home where drug-related items had been seized during a search last week.
The driver, Nathan Minerd, no age or address listed, was charged with driving under suspension and drug trafficking, a fourth-degree felony.
His passenger, Victoria Monge, no age listed, of Florida, was charged with possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. As a result of the traffic stop officers recovered the following items: $200 in U.S. currency, a hypodermic needle, drug paraphernalia, suspected fentanyl and suspected methamphetamine.
The traffic stop occurred following an investigation after officers executed a search warrant Aug. 11 at 102, N. Sumner St., the residence of Michael Mayer. During the search, officers seized suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and electronic devices.
