FRANKLIN SQUARE -- Two people were rescued late Saturday from a swampy area on the Little Beaver Creek near 36827 state Route 558.
According to a Columbiana County Sheriff's report, the subjects were in kayaks and became stranded.
ODNR, the Leetonia and Hanover Twp. fire departments responded along with sheriff's office deputies. The two people were checked out by Leetonia EMS and declared fine.
