SALEM - The St. Paul School Foundation awarded its annual senior scholarships of $2,000 each in financial assistance to six St. Paul School graduates for their first year of college education.
The recipients and the schools they plan to attend are Sarah Bungard, The Ohio State University; Craig Aaron Brown, University of Cincinnati; Skyler Earl, Kent State University; Calef Joing, Gettysburg College; Kendall Joing, Westminster College; Maria Fernanda Gomez Caordoba, ALTA Language Service.
High school seniors who graduated from St. Paul School are eligible for the scholarship. Awards are based on grade point average, parish involvement, two letters of recommendation and an essay that describes educational and career plans and the impact of a St. Paul School Catholic education on an applicant's academic achievement. Since establishing the scholarship in 1995, the foundation has awarded $158,450 to 149 (including this year's scholarship winners) St. Paul School Graduates.
