EP support group funding

1 min read

The East Palestine Community Foundation realized that the residents of East Palestine and the surrounding areas were impacted far more than initially recognized by the February train derailment. Financial compensation and supplies were provided but it also affected residents' spiritually and emotionally. Ozer Ministries submitted a grant application and received funding to provide a monthly faith-based support group, counseling for those individuals desiring assistance and the planning of a community healing event in February of 2024. Ozer Ministries was founded by John and Daryl Hersh in 1987. They both have extensive experience in working with trauma and want to give back to the community they love in order to provide "hope, healing and the power of change." Ozer Ministries can be contacted by calling 330-426-2147.
