Paradise Church Lawn Festival
The Annual Paradise Church Lawn Festival will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday featuring the Mustang Club Car Show and a Country Store in which all items are available for a donation to the Paradise Building Fund. The menu will include homemade sausage sandwiches, hamburgers, hotdogs, hot chicken sandwiches, baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad, macaroni salad, pickled beets and eggs, chips, homemade pies and ice cream.
First Baptist, Lee's Chapel VBS
First Baptist and Lee's Chapel of Wellsville will host Vacation Bible School Monday through Friday. There will be classes for kindergarten through 8th grade. High school students will have Bible Study which will be conducted by Pastor Roylin Petties. This year's theme, Twists and Turns, encourages youth to have fun while learning Biblical principles. A meal will be served at 5:30 p.m. each day before the 6 p.m. opening. Parents/guardians are required to register their child. For information call 330-532-9427.
United High School Class of 1967

Columbiana Methodist Church
The Columbiana Methodist Church, 210 S. Main St., will hold a drive-thru ham dinner from 4 p.m. until sold out Tuesday. The meal features ham, buttered potatoes, green beans, apple sauce and brownie for $10. Reserve dinners at 330-482-2382 or drive through.
Bank One Retirees luncheon

Damascus Methodist breakfast
Damascus Methodist and Middle Sandy Presbyterian churches will host their monthly community breakfast from 7 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Damascus Methodist Church, 300 Valley Road. The breakfast features all-you-can-eat, made to order pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, juice and coffee for a donation. Proceeds will benefit the churches' upcoming summer mission trip to Camden, N.Y. To work with Cluster 13 Ministries.
EL council special meeting
The East Liverpool City Council will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday in council chambers to consider three proposed pieces of legislation in relation to taking possession of an ambulance for the East Liverpool Fire Department; a fourth proposal is for phase 1 of the Dresden Avenue paving project; and a voice vote of council members weather to request a public hearing, or not, concerning Ray Stevens application for a new liquor license permit at his new restaurant on the Diamond.
Legends of Salem program
Salem Public Library will host a Legends of Salem, OH program at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Reading Room. Legendary early settlers, places, and stories will come alive during this program provided by historian Ginger Grilli. Registration is required and may be done online at www.salempubliclibrary.org, or by calling the library at 330-332-0042 for registration assistance. This program is free of cost and open to all.
Wellsville BOE meeting change
The Wellsville Board of Education has a date change for the July regular meeting. The meeting will be held on Monday, July 31, instead of July 17 at 6:30 p.m. in the Wellsville Jr. Sr. High School Media Center.
Minerva Nights on North Market
Minerva Nights on North Market returns Friday with live music, art, food and drink, and shopping.
The Market Street Art Spot's monthly reception will run 5 to 9 p.m., featuring the eclectic work of Tom Kilpatrick, live music by Echoes of Time, and light refreshments.
West High Street, between North Market and Main streets, will be the site of a popup pocket park for the evening with seating, a carnival game, and a variety of outdoor games for all ages, including corn hole, giant Jenga, bowling, and more. Everyone can help fill in a large chalk mandala, creating a temporary work of art, and the giant xylophone will be on hand.
Ducks will be for sale for the Oktoberfest Roxy Theatre Duck Race, and last-minute presale tickets will be available for the Minerva Chamber Rodeo.
Shops open downtown will include Vintage Home by IlluminArt and the Market Mercantile until 9 p.m.; SummerGirl Studio, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Sphon's CCW & Armory until 7 p.m.; Brick Road Bargains until 6 p.m., and Minerva Perk's Next Door will host a popup marketplace with local crafters and vendors. The Minerva Area Historical Society's Haas Museum will be open 6 to 8 p.m.
Walker's Cafe will be open until 7 p.m., Minerva Perk until 8 p.m., and the Komfort Zone will be serving ice cream, baked goods and candy until 9 p.m.
The village's Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area will be in effect 5 to 10 p.m., and DORA beverages may be purchased at Sandy Springs Brewing Company, Que Pasa Mexican Restaurant, Stoney Inn, and the Normandy Inn. The SSBC Arcade will also be open.

That Quilt Group I Belong To
That Quilt Group I Belong To (TQGIBT) will meet at 7 p.m. July 18 in the Rotary Building at Fair Park on Oak Street in Canfield. Doors open at 5 p.m. At this month's meeting members will be celebrating their annual Christmas in July mini workshop by sewing pillow cases that will be gifted to children spending at least one night at Akron Children's Hospital. Ongoing challenges that members are working on include a Mystery Quilt (due in October) and a Personal Round Robin Quilt (the last round of Fan Arch due in July). For information call 330-507-4672.

Shop Columbiana Christmas in July at the Columbiana Women's Club (CWC) July Tag Sale on Friday and Saturday, July 21 and 22, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 121 N. Main St. in historic Columbiana. Part of ongoing activities taking place throughout the city, the Tag Sale will feature gently-used holiday decorations, home decor and artwork, jewelry (costume), home furnishings and household items, and dinnerware and kitchen items, including China and glassware.
