Greenway Bike Trail Benefit
The annual Greenway Bike Trail Benefit will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 8. T-shirts will be available for purchase at the trail heads as well as light refreshments. The donations and T-shirt purchases go toward maintaining the Greenway Bike Trail.
Laurel Hollow Park concert
A concert will be held this Saturday, July 8 at 6 p.m. at Laurel Hollow Park in Newell featuring the popular dance band 7% SUPERSTAR!! There is no admittance charge compliments of the sponsorship of the Hancock County Commissioners . Concessions will be available and transport for those who need it. There is seating but lawn chairs are welcome.
Calcutta hydrant flushing
The Buckeye Water District will be flushing fire hydrants in the Calcutta area. This will start Monday, July 10, 2023 and will continue until complete. You may briefly experience low pressure while a hydrant is being flushed in your area.
Denise's Big Backyard
First Presbyterian Church, 436 E. 2nd St. in Salem, will host Denise's Big Backyard again this summer. Events include "Owls of the World" from the Raptor Hallow Sanctuary in Alliance July 12; Latin Music for Piano & Violin July 19; and FPC Troop 3 Scouts July 26. Each free event is held from 6 to 8 p.m. rain or shine and includes fun, food and fellowship.
