The Carriage House will be open late Friday and is inviting those attending First Fridays on Fifth in Downtown East Liverpool to arrive early and visit the art exhibit currently on display in the store. Local artists Elizabeth "Betsy" Babb, Carol and Sheri Liebschner and Ruth March have new paintings, prints and shadowboxes in this show. The artists will be on hand Friday to meet visitors and free refreshments will be offered from 5 to 7. The show will remain up until July 15 and may be viewed during regular business hours Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The Carriage House is located at 509 Broadway, phone 330-385-0670. First Fridays on Fifth is sponsored by the East Liverpool Community Partnership for Revitalization and will feature musician Dave Morgan from 6 to 7 p.m. and Rumors from 7 to 10 p.m. Pictured, paintings by Betsy Babb.
