Winona VFD gets a boost from Encino Energy

WINONA -- Encino Energy partnered with the Winona Fire Department with a $5,873 donation for a new multiparameter health monitor through the company's Community Partnership Program.

This equipment will allow for the fire department's EMS crews to assist more than one patient at a time if the situation were to present itself, as well as monitor more than one firefighter during the rehab stage of fighting fires. The new monitor measures basic vitals, tracks blood pressure levels and monitors CO2 levels of the patient.

"We are appreciative of the financial support that Encino Energy has been able to give us to help ensure the health and safety of our community," said Winona Fire Chief George Brantingham. "We are excited for this new partnership as we look to continue our hard work in serving the community."

This is the first donation Encino Energy has made toward the Winona Fire Department and the second Environment, Health and Safety project funded by the company's Community Partnership Program in Columbiana County in 2023. Hanover Township received a donation in April.

Jackie Stewart, Director of External Affairs for Encino Energy said these projects are vital to the citizens in the area.

"This project is a big win for the communities in and around the area," Stewart said. "These multiparameter health monitors will give the fire department a tool that can provide a wide range of safety measures if needed and help the fire department continue to keep Columbiana County safe. Whether it be Encino employees, contractors, or the communities where we operate, safety has and will always be a core value of Encino's and we are proud to partner with the Winona Fire Department on this project."
