Settlement negotiations continue in payment suit regarding EL cannabis facility
LISBON — A lawsuit filed by a Pennsylvania contractor requesting payment for work done on a medical cannabis cultivation and processing facility in East Liverpool remains pending, with settlement negotiations ongoing.
A recent entry in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court said the settlement negotiations could be completed by July 9, with a telephone conference set for 10 a.m. July 12 before Judge Scott Washam.
Palmer Construction Co. Inc., McConnellsburg, Pa., filed the lawsuit earlier this year against FRX Real Estate Holding Company of Ohio LLC, Columbus, along with multiple subcontractors from the project. The lawsuit was seeking foreclosure of mechanics’ liens for $1,485,552 for the cultivation project and $901,061 for the processing project for the Harvey Avenue, East Liverpool cannabis facility.
