Route 45 road work begins
Beginning today, state Route 45 will close for 45 days for a culvert replacement project. The work zone will be 3 miles north of state Route 7. A detour will be in place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The detour around is state Route 7 north to U.S. Route 30 west, U.S. Route 30 west to state Route 45 and reverse. The expected completion date is July 30.
Work has already started on the U.S. Route 30 resurfacing project. A 4-mile stretch of U.S. Route 30 going through East Liverpool to the state Route 170 exit is being paved. During the paving U.S. Route 30 will be down to one lane in each direction. Expected completion date is Oct. 31.
A slide repair on state Route 7 near Wellsville is resulting in lane restrictions as one lane of traffic is maintained at all times with a 12-foot restriction. Expected completion date is July 31.
Work continues in East Liverpool on the state Route 39 (Pennsylvania Avenue) culvert replacement project between Parkway and Virginia Avenue. Motorists can expect slight travel delays due to lane closures. One lane of traffic will be maintained with temporary traffic signals. The expected date of completion is Sept. 30.
