Village residents, Norfolk Southern employees and those in surrounding areas wanting and willing to lend a helping hand came together in East Palestine to participate in a day of volunteerism. Jobs included weeding, planting and painting. The day of volunteerism was organized by Marty Grim and Norfolk Southern Community Liaison Jeremy Vransevich, who is also a village resident, to encourage citizens to give back to their hometown, while promoting a sense of camaraderie and community.
