Crestview board OK’s admin changes for next year

By KATIE WHITE 5 min read

COLUMBIANA -- Some administrative changes have been made in preparation for the next school year at Crestview Local School District.

With the resignation of Paul Cusick as athletic director the board of education approved Laura Nappi for the position during the May meeting.

Nappi was serving as high school principal and the change now has her serving as both athletic director and assistant high school principal.

The board also promoted Greg Woolman to the high school principal position.

Woolman served as assistant principal at the middle and high schools last year and has been a teacher with the district prior to that.

District Superintendent Daniel Hill said that the district absorbed one administrative position and basically reassigned staff in response to Cusick's leaving when he accepted a position with East Liverpool.

Cusick had also retired from the district as head football coach last November and continued serving as athletic director until recently.

In addition to reassigning Nappi and Woolman, the board also approved the hiring of Tim Pancake as middle school principal, Allison LeMaster as elementary school principal, and Kim Gilbert as student services director for K-12.

Nappi was given a three year limited administrative contract and Woolman was given a two year limited administrative contract, both with fringe benefit packages.
