On April 20, fourth-grade students from Lisbon's McKinley Elementary participated in an after-school reading club session to read and learn all about community helpers. The students then worked hard to make appreciation gift bags for Lisbon police officers, dispatchers and firefighters. On April 24 the students took a walking field trip to deliver their appreciation bags to the local community helpers. The Lisbon Police Department and Lisbon Fire Department were very appreciative and welcomed the students to tour their facilities.
