The McKinley Elementary Student Senate presented members from the Lisbon Chamber Beautification Committee with a $300 check for future projects. Student Senate is a group of fourth and fifth-graders at McKinley Elementary and selected the Beautification Committee to be the recipients of this year's service project. Student Senate organized and hosted a two-day bake sale during lunches in April to raise funds for the cause. Mayor Peter Wilson and committee member Linda Donnalley were on hand to accept the donation and report that the funds will be allocated for plants and decorations for downtown.
