LISBON – Natalie Marple is the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center’s April Student of the Month. Natalie is a full-day senior from Salem High School and is enrolled in the Cosmetology (COS) Program under the instruction of Christy Mays.

Natalie is a member of the SkillsUSA Chapter at the CCCTC. She has already completed all hours required by the state of Ohio, taken her state board of cosmetology test, received her license and is using her certification for employment. She also has OSHA-10 certification. She is the first senior of 2022-23 to take the test and pass the state board test.

During her senior year, Natalie participated in the CCCTC work-based learning program and started employment as a nail technician at the State Street Salon in Salem. Her future plans upon graduation are to work full time at a salon and save money to buy her own home. Her goals are to build a good clientele and work to become the best nail technician that she can be.

Natalie stated, “The CCCTC was a good choice for me because it has a good cosmetology program, and I have always wanted to be a cosmetologist.”

Natalie was nominated by Christy Mays, who stated, “Natalie is a student who works hard, works ahead, helps everyone, has a great attitude, is always professional with clients, respects every student in class, is humble, and exceeds every expectation. She has already completed her state board licensure and is working in the field. Her positive energy and humble approach will help Natalie further her future in anything she chooses. She doesn’t take anything for granted and appreciates everything she has. Natalie will always be a shining light for family, her cosmetology sisters, her clients and her teachers.”

Natalie is the daughter of Tom and Amy Marple.
