Powerful Tools for Caregivers

The Columbiana Public Library will be offering a free five-week series called Powerful Tools for Caregivers on Thursdays starting June 1 at 5:30 p.m. These classes will be provided by the Direction Home of Eastern Ohio, highlighting resources for people taking on the role of a caregiver. Registration can be completed on the library website or by calling the library.

Hanoverton Presbyterian

Hanoverton and Bethesda Presbyterian Churches will honor Memorial Day this Sunday at Hanoverton Presbyterian Church. Traditional parts of the Memorial Day remembrance usually held in Betz Park will be incorporated into the Sunday Worship service. All are welcome for the service starting at 10 a.m.

Spoken Threads

THE HUB, a Columbiana-based spiritual gathering committed to connecting people through story will feature "Family Sagas" during a Spoken Threads Storytelling gathering at 2 p.m. June 11 at Harbel's Market at Firestone Farms, 45443 state Route 14, Columbiana. Featuring live music by Chase Reiter with Jenna Althouse and "Family Sagas" as the story concept/theme, this event is free and out to the public. Spoken Threads storytelling gatherings are designed to engage community members in developing empathy and compassion through the sharing of personal stories and include featured storytellers, live music and an open mic for those who want to share their story. Spoken Threads is an outreach of THE HUB, a spiritual gathering affiliated with First Presbyterian Church, Columbiana, and funded by the Presbyterian Church (USA).
