HANOVERTON – United Local’s Junior Prom will be held Saturday. The theme of the prom is “Garden Rendezvous.” The activities will begin at 5 p.m. with the Parade of Fashions. A dollar donation will be accepted at the door. The 2023 king and queen will be announced by last year’s 2022 king and queen. The 2022 queen is Taylor Cope. She is the daughter of Scott and Samantha Cope. The 2022 king is Nicholas Hardgrove. He is the son of Marsha Roth and Jeff Hardgrove. Piper Richey will serve as Master of Ceremonies for our pre-prom festivities.

This year the prom will be held at the Glenmoor Country Club in Canton with a sit down dinner and dance. The After-Prom is sponsored by the Junior-Prom parents and will be held at Fun ‘n’ Stuff. The class officers are Piper Richey, class president; Madeline Young, vice president; Matilyn Zines, treasurer; and Grayson Kidder, secretary. Betty Whiteleather is Junior Class Advisor. The junior girl attendants are as follows: Addyson Blazer is the daughter of Tim and Nicole Blazer. Her activities include soccer, basketball, 4-H and National Honor Society. Katie Dees is the daughter of David and Jennifer Dees. Her activities include soccer, track, cheer and basketball. Grace Knight is the daughter of Becky Kiko and Brent Knight. Her activities include basketball, volleyball, Student Council and 4-H. Rachael Rhodes is the daughter of Jason and Denise Rhodes. Her activities include varsity soccer, varsity cheerleading, National Honor Society, Student Council, Ruriteens and 4-H. Grayson Kidder is the daughter of Thomas and Valerie Kidder. Her activities include volleyball, basketball, National Honor Society, class officer and Student Council. Madeline Young is the daughter of Tom and Connie Young. Madeline’s activities include cross country, cheerleading, track, Ruriteens, Student Council, class vice president and National Honor Society. Matilyn Zines is the daughter of Matt and Stacey Zines. Matilyn’s activities include golf, softball, Ruriteens and Key Club.

The junior boy attendants are as follows: Luke Courtney is the son of Kevin and Nikki Courtney. His activities include football, basketball and National Honor Society. Wayden Kiko is the son of Russell and Jodi Kiko. His activities include baseball, football, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Ag/Future Farmers Association. Dallas McCracken is the son of Stephanie Cooper. His activities include football, wrestling, track & field and Future Farmers of America. Garrett McIntosh is the son of John and Jessica McIntosh. His activities include football, baseball and basketball. Andrew Ogilvie is the son of David and Toni Ogilvie. Andrew’s activities include football, basketball, National Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Javin is the son of Debbie Higgins and Robin Shafer. His activities include band, wrestling, jazz band and auditorium sound technician. Louden Stryffeler is the son of Adam and Natalie Stryffeler.
