The board accepted a bid of $149,650 from R.T. Vernal Paving at its March meeting, the lowest of three bids received.
Schools Superintendent Dennis Dunham said the project will include an asphalt drive north of the locker room which is currently gravel and parking lot to the west behind the home stands for handicap parking.
"It will be so nice to drive down and park behind (the stadium) for those who need that accessibility, for walking or getting a wheelchair into the stadium," he noted.
Dunham said the project will be paid for with American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds.
In other business, the board approved the 2024-2025 academic calendar with the first day for students Aug. 19, 2024 and last day and commencement both May 23, 2025. Dunham noted the early establishment of the academic calendar allows for families to plan years in advance.
