CANFIELD -- The 2023 Angels for Animals Reverse Raffle, one of its largest on location fundraisers, provides monies for the continual care of our shelter animals. Every animal brought to Angels for Animals is provided with veterinary care, and everyday care by staff and volunteers. Funding is always a concern to be able to continue rescuing and caring for the homeless and helpless animals in the community.
Dr. Mark McMurray and his wife, Stephanie, a local interior designer, have joined the volunteer team and play a key role in the Reverse Raffle. They both have developed a talent for cooking and share this talent at many of the Angels' events and fundraisers. Even though they both live very busy lives, they have chosen to share their valuable time with Angels for Animals in support of animals. They have planned a dinner to add that special touch to the Reverse Raffle event.
The weekend will prove to be a busy one as the organization will also have a Texas Hold 'Em Tournament on Sunday, March 12. Caroline and Sean Cox hold this event twice a year, donating their time to organize and plan a fun day of cards for those who come out to play. Food and beverage are also provided at this event. Information is available at www.angelsforanimals.org.
Shelter animals like Caputo, Larry, Bristol, Chonkers, Tennessee and Rubie all depend on these funds to survive at the shelter and wait for their forever homes. Volunteers and fosters are needed on a daily basis to help with the organization's efforts.
To participate in the Reverse Raffle evening to support the animals, the event featuring food, games and beverages will be held Saturday, March 11 at Andrews Hall at Angels for Animals, 4750 W. South Range Road, Canfield. Tickets are on sale at Angels for Animals, Door B or online at www.angelsforanimals.org.
