Art expo

Eighth grader Brandon Kibler shows off his painting of a street view in Barcelona, Spain. He said he used a wet-on-wet watercolor technique to get the desired effect and he said he ultimately decided it looked best with a night sky, rather than a daytime sky like some of his classmates used. His painting was part of the Cities Around the World collection of works by art students grades sixth through eighth, which was one exhibit from the Around the World-themed student work expo held at David Anderson school Thursday evening. Seventeen different art exhibits and demonstrations were set up throughout the school and the spring music concert was held at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.

Starting at /week.
