Despite chilly and damp weather, a big turnout of children participated Saturday in the annual Salem Easter Egg Hunt at Waterworth Memorial Park. There were three age groups: under 5, 5-7 and 8-10. The event featured 10,000 candy-filled eggs. The Easter Bunny was available for hugs and photos. The hunt was co-sponsored by the Salem Parks and Recreation Dept. and Berkshire Hathaway Home Services, Stouffer Realty, which had volunteers on scene to assist.
