SEBRING — Sebring McKinley students will present the “Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr.” musical Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Sebring McKinley Jr./Sr. High School Auditorium.

The production is based off of the Emmy Award-winning Saturday morning educational cartoon series “Schoolhouse Rock.” Students will perform choreographed renditions of memorable songs including “Just a Bill” and “Conjunction Junction” as the musical follows a young teacher who discovers how to win students over with imagination and music.

Sebring McKinley students from seventh through 12th grade take the stage to perform classic songs in the school’s production. Seven students play the part of Tom and elements of his conscience as he prepares for his first day in his teaching career. Eleven of their peers accompany the students on stage as the ensemble.

Props were created by art classes at both Sebring McKinley and United Local Schools. Students in the United Local Schools woodshop class also built the TV set that is being used. Props and set materials were used in United’s production of the show before making their way to the set at Sebring McKinley for this weekend’s production.

Tickets will be available at the door. Student and senior citizen admission is $6 per person. Adult admission is $7 per person. Veterans’ admission is free.

Starting at $2.99/week.
