Taylor Eastham announces candidacy for state representative
EAST LIVERPOOL — Taylor Eastham of East Liverpool is seeking election as state representative of the 79th district.
“I am running because the district, and its hard-working citizens, have been overlooked for far too long by the state government. Our area was once home to the Pottery Capital of the World and bustling with the steel industry. Now, after decades of economic loss, the district is part of the Rust Belt. I want to turn the Rust Belt, into the Trust Belt, with me as your voice,” said Eastham.
Eastham, a democrat, is a lifelong resident of East Liverpool and a graduate of Beaver Local School District. She is the daughter of retired utility worker Pam and retired union steelworker Ernie Eastham of East Liverpool. She obtained her B.S. in Political Science and M.S. in Applied Politics from the University of Akron. She realized her passion for helping people from a young age which inspired her career in the political world.
Eastham has experience in the finance, non-profit and political sector. Currently she works as a full-time substitute at Beaver Local Elementary School.
