The East Palestine Amateur Radio Club met Feb. 1 with nine members and two guests present. Topics were finishing the radio room, installing permanent antennas for field day activities, also a report was given on the nuclear seminar for the Beaver Valley Power Plant drill this spring, which was held at the EMA building in Lisbon, which four of the club's members attended.
The club will be starting a membership drive and as a reminder VE Testing is done by the club on meeting nights or on a scheduled weekend if necessary. Contact person for testing is ND4H @ W8GMM.club.
It was also announced the repeater on 146.775 has a PL on it, 162.2 is the tone needed to access the machine. The 70cm repeater should be on later in the Spring, 443.8750 will be the frequency used, the machine is YSF on both 2 and 70cm.
The next meeting will be held at 6 p.m. March 1 at KD8MAC's building in Unity (old Roadhouse location). All interested in amateur radio are welcome to attend.
