East Palestine Memorial Public Library held "Slinky Science" A STEM themed workshop featuring multiple experiments, a Slinky themed craft and games Tuesday afternoon. Assistant Director and Youth Services Librarian, Noreen McBride said she thought about the theme after children were inspired by Slinky sounds during a previous workshop. Children explored sounds made by dangling Slinkys out of plastic and paper cups and completed paper crafts. Children held races with each other down a make shift ramp after McBride read the book "The Marvelous Thing That Came from a Spring" by Gilbert Ford to children and their parents.
