Ed Geary Towing personnel flipped a Chappell & Zimmerman cement truck back upright after the truck rolled over and leaked cement on a curve in the 1300 block of Chestnut Grove Road at 7:01 a.m. Wednesday. The driver, Edward Cassinger, 47, of Leetonia, was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital by KLG with head and back injuries. The Ohio State Highway Patrol motor vehicle inspector assisted Perry Township Police with an inspection of the commercial truck, which was deemed a total loss after the crash. Perry Township Police Chief Mike Emigh said the accident remains under investigation. The township fire department also responded, with Salem Police providing traffic control.
