Dr. Wiley to retire

Dr. Doug Wiley, founder and owner-partner of the Lisbon Veterinary Clinic, will be retiring Sept. 6, 2021, after 40 years as a practicing veterinarian. The practice, which includes a team of nine veterinarians, (L-R) Dr. Petra Szymkowicz, Dr. Steve Miletta, Dr. Cindy Wanee, Wiley, Dr. Fred Bennett, Dr. Erin Homerosky, Dr. Gordon Schmucker, Dr. Susan Narbey and Dr. Kelley Reeser, will continue under the leadership of the remaining partners, Drs. Bennett, Schmucker, Miletta and Narbey. Wiley purchased the practice of the late Dr. Tom Liggett in August 1984 to form the clinic, which is now one of the largest veterinary practices in northeastern Ohio. A public open house in honor of Wiley’s retirement will be held Saturday, Sept. 11, from 1-3 p.m. at the Lisbon Veterinary Clinic, 8100 Race Road, Lisbon.
