Board game box reveals hiding place for drugs and weapons

WELLSVILLE -- Some village drug dealers may have received an unlucky roll of the dice Thursday morning.

According to Wellsville Police Chief Ed Wilson, 11 of his officers executed a search warrant shortly after 11 a.m. in the 300 block of Riverside Avenue, culminating a two-week investigation into drug activity.

Arrests may be pending based on the receipt of Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) crime lab, he said.

Three people were present at 319 Riverside Ave., an unidentified couple who rents the manufactured home from Harold D. Feezle Sr. of Enon Valley, Pa. and a third person, who was identified as Dwayne Walker, 34, of Cleveland.

According to other media reports, Walker and two other co-defendants were arrested in Cleveland in August on aggravated murder charges. They allegedly shot a pregnant woman who miscarried at an early morning vigil for a homicide victim in the city's Buckeye-Woodhill neighborhood, according to Cleveland.com. That charge against him allegedly was dismissed, he told police. However that could not be confirmed Thursday.

At that time, media reports revealed Walker had prior felony convictions for drugs and weapons.

During execution of the Wellsville search warrant, police found suspected heroin, crack and fentanyl; 84 knives, a grinder, cash and a digital scale stashed in a board game box. The fentanyl came in the form of pills, one officer explained to Wilson.

Wellsville officers weren't done yet, as they executed a second search warrant at 1508 Clark Ave., finding a large amount of illegal drugs that they believed to be heroin, a large amount of jewelry and drug paraphernalia along with $1,800 cash in the property that is owned by Tiffany Meadows, according to Lt. Marsha Eisenhart.

Two people there were arrested, Andre Owens Jr., of Warren, on a charge of tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony charge and resisting arrest; and Meadows' live-in boyfriend, Gary Stock, on a warrant out of Jefferson County.

Lt. Eisenhart thanked the numerous anonymous tips from citizens that led to the search warrant, which was issued by county Municipal Court Judge Katelyn Dickey with help from county Prosecutor Vito Abruzzino.
