The 40 & 8

The Columbiana County 40 & 8 Vouture 273 of Columbiana welcomed an artful donation recently. Mike Seabolt of Metal Master Custom Art of New Waterford and Bob Bertelsen of APlus Powdercoaters of Columbiana are shown presenting Jack Guy, Chef de Gare of the 40 & 8, new custom signage that they partnered to create in order to bring attention to the group and its mission. La Societe des Quarante Hommes et Huit Chevaux (The Society of Forty Men and Eight Horses) is an independent, invitation only, honor society of American veterans and service members; more commonly known as The Forty and Eight. Originally an arm of the American Legion, the Forty & Eight became an independent and separately incorporated veteran’s organization in 1960. Membership is by invitation of honorably discharged veterans and honorably serving members of the United States Armed Forces. The 40 & 8 Vouture 273 is located at 44688 state 14 in Columbiana and can be reached at (330) 424-2291 with questions about membership, its haystack breakfast and more.
