Vehicles with parents and children were lined up Thursday evening in Lisbon to receive free sports packs full of school supplies in the CAA’s Health, Behavioral Health and Dental Centers’ Back-To-School Drive-Through event. The event was a success, with more than 225 bags distributed during the two-hour event. CAA’s Head Start program also took part by distributing school supplies. The giveaway was part of National Health Center Week events for CAA, with Paramount Advantage donating some of the school supplies, as well as the bright orange sports sacks for area school children. Dr. Marybeth Shaffer, a dentist with CAA’s Dental Centers and Dental Director, is pictured handing out the sports packs to participants.
