Mrs. Keffer's students had a pretty sweet assignment last month. Fifth grade students at Lisbon McKinley Elementary School had their version of a cooking show. The project based learning assignment demonstrated how students mastered multiplying fractions by a whole number. Fifth grade students worked in groups to find a recipe, which had to include a fraction. The recipe also had to be adjusted to serve the class. Gabriel Pethel, left, and Ryane Bing made and served edible cookie dough to classmates.
