Morning Journal/Tom Giambroni Correctional Solutions Group, the firm hired by county commissioners to take over county jail operations last July, has donated $500 each to the Christina House domestic violence shelter and the county dog pound.. CANFIELD -- Public Employee Retirees, (PERI) Chapter 18 will meet Tuesday, Feb. 4 at the Avion Banquet Center, 2177 Western Reserve ROAd. Lunch will be served at NOON at a cost of $14. There will be a raffle prize along with a 50/50 raffle.

Guest speaker will be attorney Joseph Schiavoni speaking on the importance of the court system.

Absentee ballot applications will be available for the early primary election on March 17.

All OPERS retirees and future retirees are welcome to join PERI Chapter 18. Future retirees under OPERS unable to attend the meeting/luncheons, can join Chapter 18 yearly to receive the newsletter to keep informed of the pension & health changes from OPERS. Annual dues are $10 and spouses can join as associate members for $5.
