For all your alpaca needs
VLSS Alpacas — owned by Karen Biscella of Victoria Lane Alpacas and Lori Brooke of Suri Springs Alpacas — will be opening at 230 Front St., in Leetonia. The shop specializes in retail sales of alpaca goods The type of products or services offered are items made from alpaca. We have hats, gloves, scarves, capes, shawls, gloves, mittens and socks. We also have felted alpaca soaps, dryer balls, insoles, and felted handbags. The business is unusual because everything we sell is made in the USA. Most of our products are handmade with fiber from our own alpacas. All of the handmade knitted items are unique one of-a-kind items. The alpaca apparel store evolved from our ownership of alpacas to finding uses for their beautiful fiber. Biscella and Brooke both own their own alpaca farms. Karen has 18 alpacas at her farm in New Waterford and Lori has 20 alpacas and one llama at her farm in Salem. They have have been raising alpacas for 15 years. They have been making things from their fiber for almost as long. Their love for their alpacas and their fiber shows in all of their handmade items. VLSS Alpacas will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8 and Sunday, Feb. 9. You can personalize your visit to their store by setting up an appointment with Karen by calling 330-503-9561 or Lori at 330-716-0568.
