NAMI Christmas Party at Washingtonville VFW

VFW Auxiliary 5532, Washingtonville, hosted the NAMI (Columbiana County) annual Christmas Party Dec. 5. The hall is set up the day before with tables decorated with decorations made by NAMI members and a Christmas Tree. The day of the party the auxiliary meets at 8 a.m. to prepare the meal which consists of ham, parslied potatoes, green beans, apple sauce and a roll/butter. Desserts are supplied by NAMI. There are about 100 members with eight to 12 staff members including volunteers and their local leader(s). The Christmas Party is held the first Thursday in December with the meal served at noon. After they eat, the leader and volunteers hand out special "awards" and presents. They supply a DJ and music is provided throughout the party.
