Lisbon schools salute veterans
Special to the Journal/Patti Schaeffer Army veteran Dan Dishman and his wife Judy lead the group of veterans and their families through the hallways of Lisbon's Jr./Sr. High School. The veterans shook hands with hundreds of students and exchanged hugs with some as part of the school's Veterans Day program to honor area veterans
Lisbon's McKinley Elementary 5th grade students sang "the Star-Spangled Banner", "Oh, I Love America, " "March of the Wee Americans," "Declaration," and "One Nation" as a musical tribute to area veterans during the their annual Veterans Day breakfast. Marine veteran Joe Gibson salutes the flag. Gibson teaches at McKinley.
