Career Center LPN-RN Bridge Program graduates

The Columbiana County Career and Technical Center adult education department held a ceremony for the first graduates of its new LPN-RN Bridge Program. The 29 graduates were pinned by program administrator Kelly Clark, MSN, RN and were awarded diplomas by Willard Adkins, school superintendent and Dr. Kelly Darney, Adult education director.

An award for academic excellence was given to Stephanie Kanos. An award for best clinical performance was given to Kelly Guerriero. An award for outstanding nursing practice and process was given to Jacob Kampfer. An excellence in professionalism in nursing award was given to Mandy Danko. The organization and collaboration award was given to Sondra Livolsi. Finally, a growth in learning award was given to Herman Frank III. Herman was a graduate of the CCCTC health academy, then the CCCTC LPN program and now the RN program.

This program is an alternative for current practicing LPNs to gain their RN licensure. The RN program at CCCTC is a hybrid program giving students the opportunity to advance their career while still working. Classes run one day a week on campus and one day clinical weekly. All other course work is completed online.
