Hospice to train volunteers

United choir will perform
The United High School concert choir will present a dessert night titled, "Music! Music! Music!" at 7 p.m. Saturday in the high school cafeteria. While eating desserts, guest will be entertained by soloists and groups including the concert choir and Flight Show Choir. The cost is $5 at the door.
Safety workshop scheduled
Damsel in Defense pros, Lori McDonald and Brenda Mellott, will sponsor a free safety workshop from 6-8 p.m. this Friday at Stage Left Players, 234 E. Lincoln Way in Lisbon. The workshop will provide information on how to identify potential threats to your personal safety and what to do when you feel threatened as well as discuss safety techniques and products. Stanton has talent on Friday
Stanton Elementary will hold the eighth annual Stanton's Got Talent at 6:30 p.m. this Friday in the auditorium. Students will showcase their artistic abilities performing a variety of entertainment. Admission is $1 and all proceeds will benefit the music program, such as purchasing music and instruments and making repairs.
