About two dozen people gathered in front of Lisbon Village Hall at noon on Friday to pray for the protection of local police and law enforcement officers everywhere. Kathy Johnson said she felt called to organize the event after learning about a similar event being planned in Salem. Besides Johnson, pastors Brian Brown of the Lisbon Nazarene Church and Tina Gallaher from the Methodist Church participated in offering up prayers for local police. Members of the Lisbon Police Department, the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office and the Center Township police chief were in attendance.
