LISBON — A Columbiana County Common Pleas Court judge denied a Lisbon man’s attempt to have evidence suppressed in the case against him. Curtis Gearhart, 39, South Lincoln Avenue, Lisbon, is still scheduled to face a jury trial on July 23 for a third-degree felony tampering with evidence charge. LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, cases against Christy Lynn Dawson, 45, Holliday Street, East Liverpool, were bound over to the county grand jury for second-degree felony strangulation and misdemeanor domestic violence for allegedly placing her hands around a male’s neck and applying pressure, causing him to have trouble breathing on June 30 in East Liverpool. LISBON — A Toronto man accused of assaulting another man in Yellow Creek Township after illegally entering the residence was one of 18 defendants openly indicted by the Columbiana County Grand Jury. The grand jury met for two days this week examining 52 witnesses covering 49 cases, then issuing 18 open indictments, 28 secret indictments and three no bills on Wednesday.
