LISBON — A jury recently found a Youngstown woman guilty in a sex-for-hire case after a day-long trial in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court, taking little time in reaching a verdict. Shanika Simmons, 40, Youngstown, will face sentencing Oct. 3 for a fourth-degree felony promoting prostitution charge based on the jury’s guilty verdict. Municipal Court LISBON — An East Liverpool man accused of stalking young females in the city was bound over to the grand jury recently. Kip Bailey, 36, State Street, is charged with felony-four menacing stalking and misdemeanor child enticement. Bailey allegedly stalked two juveniles on and around July 2. He is accused of hiding in the bushes near an East Liverpool home, watching the juveniles from his vehicle, urinating in front of the minor females and engaging in inappropriate conversation. Municipal Court LISBON — Recently in Columbiana Municipal Court, a preliminary hearing was set Sept. 5 for an East Liverpool man, charged with fifth-degree felony failure to verify residence after a conviction of arson.
