Municipal LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Feb. 25 for Robert L. Byrd III, 27, St. Clair Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with felonious assault, a second-degree felony, fourth-degree felony strangulation and misdemeanors of expired license, no license and expired license plates. Municipal LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a case against Charles A. Slocum Jr., 34, Brookfield Avenue, Lisbon, was bound over to the county grand jury for failure to verify residence address, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly failing to update his current address with the sex offender registration as of Feb. 3. Slocum was fined $1,125 and sentenced to 50 days in jail for operating a vehicle impaired and failure to display valid sticker, along with violating the terms of his probation for a 2024 case involving charges of menacing, assault and resisting arrest. Municipal LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary hearing was set March 16 for Sean Zett, 40, Ravenna, charged with grand theft auto, a fourth-degree felony, for allegedly stealing a 2024 Ford Raptor under the ruse of identifying himself under a different name and taking the vehicle for a test drive and to his mechanic on Jan. 17 from Tri-State Ford in East Liverpool. Johnson, 40, South Lincoln Avenue, Salem, were bound over to the county grand jury for second-degree felony burglary and misdemeanors of criminal damaging and menacing for allegedly walking into another man’s residence in Salem on Jan. 3, screaming at him and threatening to beat him up.
