LISBON -- In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary hearing was set Aug. 5 for Kyle L. Gloss, 25, North Lincoln Avenue, Salem, charged with fourth-degree felony burglary for allegedly trespassing in a residence on East Third Street in Salem on July 29. The affidavit said he had gone there to collect property and was told he's not allowed to be there. He was seen by neighbors bringing a package to the residence, then went to the basement door at the back of the building and entered. The victim heard someone in the basement and found him standing inside. Officers recovered the package he was seen carrying inside the basement.
A pretrial was set Aug. 12 for Gregory B. Weingart, 30, Canfield, charged with aggravated menacing for allegedly pointing a firearm at a woman in the 500 block of South Broadway in Salem and then cocking the firearm while still pointing it at her and holding her down at 4 a.m. July 19. He's also scheduled for arraignment on Aug. 14 for charges of failure to stop after an accident, reasonable control and no seat belt.
A pretrial was set Aug. 12 for Isiah J. Priest, 21, Alliance, charged with aggravated menacing for allegedly stopping another man from breaking up a fight between two women and threatening he had a gun and would use it if he tried to stop the fight on June 14 in Butler Township.
Seraphim Athena Laws, 22, Brenda Lane, Columbiana, was fined $600 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 65 days suspended and credit for 25 days served, with 20 hours community service, for two counts of assault and two counts of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Charges of expired license and speeding were dismissed. She was to have no contact with the victim. She punched another woman in the face while she was sleeping on July 11 in East Liverpool. On Oct. 14, 2025, she pushed another woman to the ground, punched her several times in the face and kicked her in the back at a Lisa Lane property in Center Township. She took a Ford Van on June 9 without authorization of the owner on Pine Street, Leetonia and took the car of a woman she never met without permission on April 27.
A pretrial was set Aug. 12 for Sean Nicholas Barrett, 32, last known address Pittsburgh, Pa., charged with assault for allegedly striking another man in the face on July 21 in East Liverpool. He was also fined $230 for driving under suspension, failure to display sticker and no seat belt
A pretrial was set Aug. 10 for McKenzy N. Pipkins, 20, Cherry Street, Salem, charged with assault for allegedly biting a woman's breast after coming to a Butler Township property to allegedly start a conflict on June 16.
A court trial was set Aug. 10 for Ariel L. Durham, 37, last known address Duck Creek Road, Salem, charged with criminal mischief, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct for allegedly trespassing on a woman's front porch in Salem, destroying items and refusing to leave on July 15. After her arrest, she was taken to Salem Regional Medical Center after requesting medical attention and was given several warnings for yelling profanity and refusing to stop, grabbing several items off of the wall of the emergency room and throwing them on the ground.
A pretrial was set Sept. 30 for Melissa Lynn Boughter, 37, New Castle, Pa., charged with drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing several cut straws with white powder residue inside during a traffic stop on July 30 in East Palestine, along with a digital scale with white powder residue on the surface and two baggies of suspected methamphetamine.
A sentencing hearing was set Aug. 10 for Norman W. Bender, 52, Aten Avenue, Wellsville, who pleaded no contest and was found guilty of theft for stealing two bottles of laundry detergent from Dawsons Funeral Home in East Liverpool on July 29. He was fined $400 for four counts of open container for incidents on July 29 and July 12 this year in East Liverpool, June 30, 2023 in East Liverpool and Nov. 7, 2020 in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set Sept. 29 for Joshua J. Corvino, 40, Taylor Avenue, New Waterford, charged with drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing several cut straws with white powder residue inside during a traffic stop on July 30 in East Palestine, along with a digital scale with white powder residue on the surface and two baggies of suspected methamphetamine.
A pretrial was set Sept. 30 for Melissa L. Fuller, 56, Danbury Avenue, Wellsville, charged with possess instruments to ingest and two counts of dogs: failure to register for allegedly failing to buy dog licenses for two dogs on July 22 and possessing a small black scale and glass pipe with unknown residue inside her backpack while she was a passenger during a traffic stop on July 30 in Lisbon.
A sentencing hearing was set Aug. 24 for Clifton L. Jezek Jr., 40, Brookfield Avenue, Lisbon, who pleaded no contest and was found guilty of criminal damaging. He was trying to get another man out of a vehicle, attempted to reach through the window to grab him and jerked on the door handle, breaking it on Jan. 17 in Lisbon.
Krupal Patel, 29, First Street, Hanoverton, was fined $50 for trafficking in cigarettes for selling cigarettes without a license at Thomas Market in Hanoverton on July 21.
A pretrial was set Sept. 30 for Lee W. Wyant, 50, Eagleton Road, Lisbon, charged with operating a vehicle impaired first offense, wrongful entrustment and no seat belt.
Erin Danielle Mudra, 40, East Martin Street, East Palestine, was fined $1,115 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program, with $500 of the fine suspended, for OVI and marked lanes. Another OVI charge was dismissed. Mudra was ordered to complete 40 hours community service and her license was suspended for one year with driving privileges granted.
A pretrial was set Sept. 23 for Derek Westover, 40, Fairmount Road, Lisbon, charged with OVI second offense, OVI refusal with prior within 20 years, use of unauthorized plate, no seat belt and parking prohibitions.
A pretrial was set Oct. 7 for Jason M. Kelly, 44, state Route 170, East Palestine, charged with OVI and traffic control devices.
