Grand Jury
LISBON -- Two defendants were served recently with secret indictments for drug charges.
Jason M. Call, 32, Avondale Street, East Liverpool, was charged with aggravated possession of drugs, a third-degree felony, for allegedly possessing methamphetamine on July 22, 2025.
Justin G. Conner, 43, Campbell, was charged with possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly possessing cocaine on June 26, 2024.

LISBON -- A defendant who punched another woman earlier this year was sentenced to community control for three years after pleading guilty to assault, a lesser-included misdemeanor from domestic violence.
Autumn M. Woods, 20, Beaver, Pa., entered the plea in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court and was ordered to have no contact with the victim. She received credit for one day served and charges of strangulation and domestic violence were dismissed.
Woods punched the other woman repeatedly and put her hands around her neck on Jan. 5, 2026 after an argument.

-- Romello S. Edison, 28, West Sixth Street, East Liverpool, was sentenced to nine months in prison and had his license suspended for three years for failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, a fourth-degree felony. He received credit for one day served in jail. He failed to move over for emergency lights on state Route 39 in East Liverpool and fled from police attempting a traffic stop, accelerating and losing control on Nov. 2, 2025.
Municipal
LISBON -- In Columbiana County Municipal Court, cases against Brittney Coleman, 31, Campbell, were bound over to the county grand jury for third-degree felony tampering with evidence and misdemeanor drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a metal pipe with chore boy in an area of the vehicle where she was allegedly seen placing an item after reaching into her pants during a traffic stop on July 19 in Elkrun Township.
A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Aug. 3 for Jason Norman Barnes, 39, Canton, charged with fourth-degree felony burglary and misdemeanor drug paraphernalia for allegedly entering an apartment in East Liverpool on July 23 and attempting to get into a safe. On July 25, he allegedly possessed a cut plastic pen with white residue inside along with other illegal narcotics in East Liverpool.
Nathan M. Roush, 23, Youngstown, was fined $350 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 89 days suspended and credit for one day served, for assault, with 20 hours community service. He was ordered to pay restitution of $3,100 and to have no contact with the victim. Roush followed the victim out of a restaurant in Salem on Feb. 6 and struck him in the head and slammed him to the ground.
Lucas Harrison Davis, 43, Cadmus Street, East Liverpool, was fined $200 and sentenced to 60 days in jail, with 40 days suspended and credit for 20 days served, for criminal mischief amended from domestic violence, with 20 hours community service and an order to have no contact with the victim. Davis pushed the victim down, pinning him down and striking him in the chest area on July 3 in East Liverpool.
Thomas Price, 29, Lisa Lane, Lisbon, was fined $150 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with credit for 15 days served, leaving a balance of 15 days still to serve for domestic violence for threatening to harm a woman, raising his fist while getting closer to her and threatening to kill her on July 12 in Center Township.
A pretrial was set Aug. 5 for Michelle Lynn Kerr, 44, West Martin Street, East Palestine, charged with domestic violence for allegedly flipping a hot grill onto a woman, causing burns to each leg on July 25 in East Palestine.
Ryan L. Pritt, 44, Lisbon Street, East Liverpool, was fined $450 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 80 days suspended and credit for two days served, leaving eight days to serve for drug paraphernalia, criminal damaging and use of unauthorized plate. A felony charge of receiving stolen property had already been dismissed. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and to make restitution of $650 to the Columbiana County jail. On July 15 in East Liverpool, he possessed a glass pipe commonly used to inhale/ingest methamphetamine. He was also accused of flushing a large number of sporks down the toilet in his cell while he was an inmate at the Columbiana County jail on June 17, causing the toilet to become clogged and damaged, requiring $650 in repairs.
Lindsay Kay Buzzard, 38, Fisher Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $500 and sentenced to 26 days in jail for falsification and disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for physically harming a man on July 1 in East Liverpool by scratching him in the neck. On April 19 in St. Clair Township, police were called for a woman slumped over inside Tim Hortons and when they asked her to identify herself, she wasn't giving her name and then gave a false name and birthdate.
A pretrial was set Sept. 30 for Nicholas Pete Vojnovich, 29, Duke Vodrey Road, East Liverpool, charged with criminal damaging and resisting arrest for allegedly ripping the door handle off of a woman's car and yelling at officers and pulling away from then when placed under arrest on July 25 in St. Clair Township.
A domestic violence charge against Brittany Alanna Hissom, 39, Smithfield Street, East Liverpool, was dismissed by the prosecutor due to evidentiary issues. Hissom was accused of allegedly spitting in a man's face during a domestic on May 27 in East Liverpool.
A probable cause hearing was set Aug. 10 for Shane R. Murphy, 20, Alliance, charged with two counts of menacing for allegedly making threats against a woman and a man, to slit their throats and shoot them during a telephone conversation in Leetonia on Feb. 9, also threatening another woman.
A pretrial was set Sept. 29 for Kelvin Lamot Morris, 28, Houston, Texas, charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual activity with a woman in exchange for money through the Cash App, then driving to East Palestine on July 24 in a company vehicle for the meeting with the phone used to make the arrangements in his possession.
Eugene Moliva Gaston, 41, Tampa, Fla., was fined $750 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 89 days suspended and credit for one day served, for engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools, with 20 hours community service and an education course ordered. Gaston was accused of responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual activity with a woman in exchange for $80, then arriving in East Palestine on April 2 for the meeting with the phone used to make the arrangements in his possession.
Matthew G. Davidson, 40, Front Street, New Waterford, was fined $150 for disorderly conduct amended from theft for taking two weld-paks and battery-powered tools from a garage in Negley between Oct. 15, 2025 and Jan. 23, 2026.
A pretrial was set Sept. 16 for Alexzander M. Gay, 26, Hubbard, charged with two counts of obstructing official business, operating a vehicle impaired second offense, failure to move left for a public safety vehicle and no seat belt for allegedly failing to provide any identification during a traffic stop when he appeared impaired and then having to be physically placed in a patrol car and removed on July 25 in Lisbon.
A pretrial was set Aug. 12 for Shane LaFlame, 25, Ravenna, charged with criminal trespass for allegedly entering The Foundry in Salem on July 25 after previously being trespassed from the bar and attempting to start a fight with patrons at the business.
A pretrial was set Sept. 21 for Dana Leigh Harpold, 54, Elson Street, East Liverpool, charged with endangering children for allegedly creating a substantial risk to the health or safety of a child, with the police affidavit noting the child was suffering from a brain bleed on April 6 when taken to the hospital and the defendant tested positive for drugs on occasions before and after that.
Nathan Lee Adams, 21, state Route 45, Lisbon, was fined $350 for refuse prohibition and wildlife violation doing burnouts in the Highlandtown Wildlife Area parking lots, leaving pieces of tire and metal cords from the tire falling apart on June 14.
A pretrial was set Oct. 5 for Thomas James Brown, 20, Pope Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with OVI and a turn signal violation.
A pretrial was set Sept. 22 for Natasha R. Johnson, 44, Bradshaw Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with OVI first offense and loud exhaust.
