A pretrial was set May 6 for Ryan Scott Roberts, 44, McDonald Street, East Liverpool, charged with theft for allegedly skip scanning at the self checkout and leaving without paying for 33 items valued at $243 at the Calcutta Walmart on Feb. 25.
A court trial was set April 6 for Derek James Thompson, 31, Chester Avenue, Wellsville, charged with obstructing official business and criminal trespass. On April 10, 2025, he allegedly began to run when patrol cars approached a home in East Liverpool to execute a search warrant. On May 1, 2025, he allegedly trespassed in a condemned home in East Liverpool.
A pretrial was set April 27 for Britton K. Steiginga, 32, Walnut Grove Drive, New Waterford, charged with obstructing official business, driving under suspension and failure to display valid sticker for allegedly refusing to exit the vehicle and failing to identify himself or turn over his ID during a traffic stop on Feb. 28 in Columbiana.
Katelyn Elizabeth Nevaeh Conrad, 21, Broadway Avenue, Wellsville, was fined $250 and given a suspended 90-day jail term for attempted theft amended from theft. A charge of possessing criminal tools was dismissed and she was ordered to complete 40 hours community service. She was accused of taking three items valued at $96.98 from the Calcutta Walmart on Nov. 29, 2025.
Darreion Damone Owens, 31, Cuyahoga Falls, was sentenced to 10 days in jail for criminal trespass, with the term to be served at the same time as the prison sentence he’s serving. Owens was accused of trespassing and throwing contraband over the fences of FCI Elkton, the federal prison on Scroggs Road, Elkrun Township on June 8, 2024.
A pretrial was set April 28 for Gage Michael Cope, 20, Hill Street, Lisbon, charged with a miscellaneous wildlife violation for allegedly having a raccoon in one of his traps for longer than 24 hours on Hill Street, Lisbon on Feb. 19.
A pretrial was set March 4 for Cody A. Hostetter, 24, North Pleasant Drive, East Palestine, charged with illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly possessing a clear glass pipe with residue, suspected crystal meth and other paraphernalia during a traffic stop on March 3 in Leetonia.
Tony Hilton, 45, Blakely Street, East Liverpool, was fined $100, with $50 of the fine suspended, for depositing litter, on the condition that he maintains the property free of litter. On Nov. 20, 2025, he was cited for having excess trash, tires, a refrigerator, bath tub and other trash outside the East Liverpool property.
Devin S. Earich, 31, West Third Street, Salem, was fined was fined $2,000 and sentenced to 30 days in jail for two counts of OVI (with a charge of OVI refusal merged for sentencing), two counts of driving under suspension and a probation violation for a 2023 assault case, with charges of driving while texting, plate light, marked lanes and no seat belt dismissed. His driver’s license was suspended for three years.
An OVI charge against Millis Franklin Johnson IV, 46, Middleton Road, Columbiana, was dismissed at the request of the state due to insufficient evidence. He was fined $50 for marked lanes.
A probation violation hearing was set June 1 for Noah Christian Homrighausen, 20, Poland, for a 2025 case of reckless operation.
Hunter Thomas Zeiber, 26, Michigan Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $200 for reckless operation and wearing earplugs. A charge of failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer was dismissed.
A pretrial was set May 5 for Marilyn G. Winters, 65, Riffle Road, Rogers, charged with OVI first offense and reasonable control.
A pretrial was set April 29 for Donald L. Clark, 55, Cherry Valley Drive, Leetonia, charged with operating a vehicle impaired first offense, OVI breath first offense and a turn signal violation.
A pretrial was set April 27 for Jacob Richards, 22, Mattix Road, Lisbon, charged with driving under suspension and traffic control devices.
Dakota Hunter Trimmel, 22, Chester, W.Va., was fined $200 for left of center and reckless operation amended from OVI.
Meika N. Dalrymple, 31, last known address May Street, East Liverpool, was fined $300 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with 27 days suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program, for left of center and reckless operation amended from OVI. She was ordered to complete 20 hours community service. Her driver’s license was suspended for one year, with driving privileges granted.
A charge of driving while texting against James E. Cottle, 41, Fair Avenue, Salem, was dismissed.
A pretrial was set May 5 for Timothy Shawn Hannan, 38, Jefferson Street, East Liverpool, charged with driving under suspension.
A pretrial was set May 5 for Dakota James Stockman, 32, state Route 7, Rogers, charged with a stop sign violation.
A charge of expired or unlawful plates against Antoine Lester Moman Jr., 24, Ohio Avenue, East Liverpool, was dismissed.
Corey Lee Boso, 57, Springview Street, East Liverpool, was fined $100 for driving under suspension.
Ronald Eugene Keener II, 35, Riley Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $75 for failure to control.
Patrick Charles Valenti, 55, Amherst, N.Y., was fined $150 for unsafe vehicle amended from reasonable control.
Jeffrey Meredith II, 32, Wells Avenue, Wellsville, was fined $200 for driving under suspension.
Landon Reese Goss, 18, was ordered to pay court costs for a charge of no valid license.

Court News
LISBON — An Alliance man accused of having sexual conduct with a teen over a three-year period was sentenced to prison for 48 months.
Matthew A. Grate, 42, North Webb Avenue, appeared recently in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court for sentencing. Earlier this year, he entered a guilty plea to unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a third-degree felony. A second count of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor will be dismissed.
According to the indictment, Grate engaged in the sexual conduct starting when the victim was 13 years old, starting July 3, 2020 and continuing to July 2, 2023.
Grate received credit for 115 days already served in jail. He was also deemed a Tier II sex offender, requiring him to register his address and other information with the sheriff’s office of the county where he resides once he’s released from prison. The registration requirement will be every 180 days for 25 years.

— Kevin M. Curtis, 32, Fair Avenue, Salem, was sentenced to eight months in prison for possession of heroin and possession of a fentanyl-related compound, both fifth-degree felonies, with credit for 60 days served in jail. Curtis possessed heroin and fentanyl on April 6, 2023.
— Richard D. Simons, 25, North Beaver Street, Lisbon, was sentenced to 270 days in the county jail, with 217 days credit, leaving a balance of 53 days to serve in jail for violating the terms of his probation for aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. His community control was dishonorably terminated. Simons possessed methamphetamine on April 11, 2023.
— Jonathan E. Manley, 51, Youngstown, was ordered to serve 230 days in the county jail, with credit for 200 days served, leaving a balance of 30 days still to serve in jail for violating the terms of his probation for nonsupport of dependents. His community control was dishonorably terminated. Manley failed to pay child support from Sept. 1, 2013 to Aug. 1, 2018.
— Mary Peterson, 58, Darlington Road, Negley, pleaded guilty to assault, a fourth-degree felony, for causing harm or attempting to cause harm to a man on March 16, 2025. Sentencing was set for April 20.
— Brian W. Keith, 55, Anderson Boulevard, East Liverpool, pleaded guilty to domestic violence, a fourth-degree felony, for physically harming a woman on Sept. 11, 2023. Sentencing was set for March 16. A third-degree felony charge of strangulation was dismissed.
— Alayah Cheylynn Thornton, 26, Commerce Street, Wellsville, pleaded guilty to fifth-degree felony possession of a fentanyl-related compound and third-degree felony illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto the grounds of a specified governmental facility, with sentencing set for April 20. A charge of aggravated possession of drugs will be dismissed. Thornton possessed fentanyl on Feb. 24, 2024 and attempted to take drugs into a detention facility on Dec. 20, 2024.
— Alan Heddleston, 20, Independence Square, Wellsville, pleaded guilty to third-degree felony failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, with sentencing set for May 4. He was accused of fleeing from Salem police officers attempting a traffic stop on Oct. 4, 2024.
— Melissa Jean Hill, 55, Enon Valley, Pa., was placed under community control for two years after pleading guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, with credit for one day served in jail. She possessed psilocyn on Sept. 3, 2023.
— Gregory A. Cox, 38, Mechanicstown, pleaded guilty to three counts of nonsupport of dependents, a fifth-degree felony, with sentencing set for April 24. Cox failed to pay child support for three children from July 2, 2023 to June 29, 2025.
— Timothy J. Kondik, 57, North Canton, was placed on a treatment plan for three years after pleading guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for possessing methamphetamine on Jan. 10, 2025.
— Tierney A. Steginga, 37, Hypoluxo, Fla., was placed under community control for 12 months after pleading guilty to two counts resisting arrest, one amended from assault, and one count of obstructing official business. Sentences of 180 days, and two 90-day terms were suspended. The charges all stemmed from an incident April 27, 2023.
